AWF Champion Andy Palafox announced on Saturday night that Danny Gee suffered an injury in El Paso, TX. As a result, Gee was unable to compete in the main event of AWF All-American Grand Slam.
Palafox stated that AWF Officials gave him the choice to select a stand-in partner, that could be anyone on the AWF roster. Palafox claimed that at the last event (AWF Wildcard Rumble in May), someone "impressed him". He then announced the young Paradox as his tag team partner for the night.
Palafox and Paradox were able to defeat the returning team of Adrian Hawkins and Aydan Colt, with Spray Boy Roy in their corner. Paradox scored the pinfall over former-AWF Champion Adrian Hawkins. Paradox also competed earlier in the night, scoring a pinfall victory over AWF newcomer Ricky Rayez.
